ARRS announces Scholarship Recipients annual meeting Travel Grant Award Winners at ARRS 2010 annual meeting, to be held on October 31-November 4, 2010 in San Diego.
ARRS announces the recipients of scholarships and travel grants:
2010 ARRS /Elio Bracco Scholar
Karen Ordovas, MD, of the University of California San Francisco
The American Roentgen Ray Society Scholarship is intended to support study in a field selected by the scholar that will enable the scholar to attain his or her professional career goal.
2010 ARRS Berlin Scholar in Medical Professionalism
Bruce J. Barron, MD, MHA, FACNM, of Emory University
The Leonard Berlin Scholarship in Medical Professionalism is intended to support study and research related to medical ethics, medico-legal principles, patient accountability, sensitivity to patient diversity and/or other topics encompassing medical professionalism.
Annual Meeting Travel Grant Award Recipients:
One resident and one fellow have each been awarded with a travel grant to assist with expenses associated with attending the ARRS Annual Meeting. The winners are:
Sheela D. Konda, MD, PhD, Fellow in Breast and Women’s Imaging at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL
Morlie Wang, MD MPH, Diagnostic Radiology Resident at John Stroger, Jr. Hospital in Chicago, IL
