The ASTRO 2010 ( American Society for Radiation Oncology ), the 52nd annual meeting will take place from October 31 - November 4, 2010 at San Diego Convention Center, San Diego.

ASTRO funds research, travel and programs as part of the overall effort to prevent, treat and cure malignancies. Each year, ASTRO awards nearly $1 million to deserving researchers, clinicians and programs. ASTRO 's research awards and grants are intended to support applications with a focus on radiation and cancer biology, radiation physics, translational research or outcomes/health services research. Program grants are intended to support radiation therapy, dosimetry and radiation physics programs in an effort to advance the specialty of radiation oncology .
