Virtual Corporate Member Press Room: ASTRO

ASTRO provides Virtual Corporate Member Press Room Guidelines during ASTRO 2010 annual meeting which is to be held on 31st October - 4th November, 2010 at San Diego.
ASTRO will be providing a Virtual Corporate Member Press Room during ASTRO 2010 - 52nd Annual Meeting in San Diego exclusively for ASTRO Corporate Members. The Virtual Corporate Member Press Room allows the media access to corporate information as it relates to ASTRO and the field of radiation oncology. The link to the Virtual Corporate Member Press Room will be included in the press kit provided to the media attending the Annual Meeting as well as posted on the Press Room section of the ASTRO Web site.
Virtual Corporate Member Press Room Guidelines
- Any press materials that relate to research and/or new products/services in the field of radiation oncology are permitted in the ASTRO Virtual Corporate Member Press Room. When appropriate, we ask that press releases state that this research and/or products/services were unveiled at the ASTRO 2010 Annual Meeting. Please note that ASTRO stands for the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
- Press releases relating to scientific presentations at the ASTRO 2010 Annual Meeting must be embargoed until the date and time of the presentation.
- All materials for the Virtual Corporate Member Press Room must be submitted electronically. There will be a 24-hour-review period before it is posted on the Web. Items for the virtual press room can be submitted to the ASTRO Communications Department. We cannot guarantee items will be posted between October 29 and October 31.
- Please include local contact information with your press materials. This will help ASTRO staff and members of the press locate your representatives more easily.
- There is a limit of 10 different press releases from any one corporate member.
- No outside press conferences can be allowed during the hours of the ASTRO 2010 Annual Meeting. Organizations planning off-site media activities are encouraged to coordinate with ASTRO’s Communications Department to ensure they do not conflict with ASTRO sponsored activities.
- ASTRO reserves the right to make judgments and/or decisions about any issues that arise that are not covered in these guidelines. The ASTRO Chief Executive Officer is the final arbiter of any questions or disputes that may arise.
