Abraxas’ Exibition at AAOS Deemed a Success

Company News - Abraxas Medical Solutions, Inc.
Abraxas Medical Solutions completes 3-day exhibition of its EMR and PM software products at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons attended by over 10,000 physicians Abraxas Medical Solutions, Inc., a developer of state of the art Electronic Health Record (EHR) software solutions, exhibited Abraxas EMR and Abraxas PM solutions, its electronic medical records and practice management solutions, at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery 2009 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The AAOS 2009 conference, which took place between February 25 and February 27, 2009, included hundreds of exhibitors who demonstrated their latest innovations to the more than 10,000 orthopedic surgeons in attendance.

“Many of the attendees inquired about the recent Stimulus Plan (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 allocating a remarkable $20 billion to the area of Healthcare IT) and its positive financial benefit (as much as $44,000 per physician) in purchasing an EMR solution,” said Michael Bina, President of Abraxas. “Numerous physicians emphasized that their sole purpose in attending the conference was to evaluate different EMR software products and finalize their decision on purchasing a software solution for electronic medical records. This confirmed our projection that the recently passed Stimulus Plan will accelerate EMR sales.”

“While most of the visitors to Abraxas’ exhibit booth were physicians interested in automating their medical records and workflow, many who had previous unsuccessful experiences with other EMR software products were also evaluating Abraxas EMR in their search for a better alternative,” Mr. Bina concluded.
