Philips and LifeLine Hospital ensure the health of Abu Dhabi Medical Congress visitors
| Medical Conferences News - Abu Dhabi Medical Congress 2009 |
Royal Philips Electronics is highlighting its commitment towards raising public awareness of disease prevention at the Abu Dhabi Medical Congress (ADMC) 2009.
The Royal Philips Electronics company is demonstrating at the Abu Dhabi Medical Congress 2009 how it provides solutions to diagnose and treat patients in emergency situations.
A specially designed health check booth, in support of medical professionals from LifeLine Hospital in Abu Dhabi, is placed at the venue to educate the visitors on preventative care by offering them free, simple health checks. The series of tests measure Body Mass Index, sugar, cholesterol, lung capacity and blood pressure.
Philips is also showcasing its innovative portable healthcare products which are well suited for emergency medicine. The Philips CX50 CompactXtreme is a premium ultrasound system that is designed to combine the image quality expected of a traditional, full-sized system with the convenience of portability to meet the challenging needs of medical professionals for clear diagnostic data on the move. The Philips HeartStart FRx Defibrillator is designed to be simple enough for non-medical professionals to use to treat a sudden cardiac arrest. The HeartStart FRx will help the user restore the patient’s normal heart rhythm with the guidance of clear, calm voice commands and descriptive images.
Also on display is the Philips IntelliVue XDS Clinical Workstation which enhances the functionality of Philips ’ high-acuity IntelliVue monitors. This provides a fast and convenient access to patient-focused clinical data from hospital information systems. XDS creates a flexible, customizable clinical workspace, combining patient monitoring views and IT applications, with the ability to interact freely among them to optimize patient care.
