Ridgewood Vein Center Selects acentec for EPM and EMR Investment

Company News - Acentec, Inc.
acentec announced that Ridgewood Vein Center has selected acentec as its technology vendor to automate their vein practice

acentec, a leading provider of ambulatory healthcare information systems and a full suite of complementary technology products to the medical community, has announced that Ridgewood Vein Center has selected acentec as its technology vendor to automate their vein practice.

Acentec’s core product, 2008 CCHIT Certified MedInformatix practice management and phlebology optimized electronic medical record software, will be implemented at the clinic to streamline several processes including scheduling, registration, claims submission, charge entry, collections and clinical documentation.

“After having used an electronic medical records software at a previous practice and doing research on so many other products, none of them had the options that MedInformatix did.  We also liked the fact that it has the capability to grow with our practice.”  said Beth Coll, Nurse Practitioner.

“Our new relationship with Ridgewood Vein Center is about creating tangible results in the form of improved profitability and saving time.  Our commitment to our clients is ensuring their success and enhancing the quality of patient care at the same time,” states Jeff Mongelli, CEO of Irvine, CA based acentec, inc.

Small physician practices are facing increased pressure by government entities like Medicare and Medicaid to take steps towards electronic processes.  Pay for performance reports, managing chronic disease prevention and electronic prescribing are just a few of the new measures required by the government or private payers to increase current physician reimbursement rates.  Investing in a fully integrated practice management and EMR software program is often the solution to generating this information.
