Acuo Technologies, LLC, Announces Vendor Neutral Archiving Contract with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Company News - Acuo Technologies, LLC
Deployment of next generation archive of Acuo Technologies, LLC, administrators access more than 60 terabytes of data
Acuo Technologies, LLC, developers of high-performance software for intelligent medical image management, data migration tools and services contracting with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for a new archiving solution which becomes the basis of the Hospital’s medical image management platform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This integrated medical imaging solution allows the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to gain control of more than 60 terabytes of medical data such as x-rays, cardiology images and pathology slides, giving the hospital an automated solution that will provide business continuity and result in a lower total cost of ownership.

The solution selected by CHOP is designed to allow all medical images to be stored on CHOP’s infrastructure, allowing the hospital’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) portal to have one location to retrieve patient images, instead of multiple integrations and locations. The combined solution will also ensure that all patient studies are safely stored, protected and can be accessed from any CHOP location in a consistent and reliable fashion.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will be using the Acuo Technologies, LLC, DICOM Assisted Migration (ADAM) to move data from the existing proprietary archive into the Acuo Technologies, LLC, vendor neutral archive, ensuring that CHOP will be able to gain control of their data and never pay for a migration again. The Acuo Technologies, LLC, solution will also be used as an intelligent routing destination for all radiology modalities providing high availability using Virtual IP technology from Cisco’s ACE product line.

“We are extremely pleased to consummate this new relationship with one of the most prestigious Children’s Hospital’s in the world today” states, Jeff Timbrook, CEO of Acuo Technologies, LLC. “The lifecycle of clinical content for Children’s Hospitals is significantly longer than traditional healthcare providers. CHOP will certainly enjoy the many attributes and features of DICOM Services GridTM as they make medical imaging content readily available at the point of need for all clinicians and patients in their delivery system”.
