Acuo Technologies, LLC Provides Healthcare and Life Sciences Customers the DICOM Services Grid, this offering is now available through EMC
Acuo Technologies, LLC a company specializing in the development of high-performance grid software for intelligent medical image management, DICOM and storage virtualization, as well as data migration tools and services today announced that its DICOM Services Grid is now available through the EMC Select Program. Through EMC Select, healthcare and life sciences organizations can purchase a complete grid solution to virtualize all medical imaging and information needed to collaborate freely across the continuum of care. The EMC Select Program helps organizations easily acquire all the required components for a robust information infrastructure.
EMC will offer the DICOM Services Grid consisting of AcuoMed and AcuoStore as part EMC’s solution offerings to healthcare organizations. The DICOM Services Grid works with EMC’s tiered Storage Family including CLARiiON and Symmetrix and has API integrations into Centera and Documentum. Together, EMC and Acuo Technologies, LLC bring all of the benefits of a vendor neutral image distribution and archiving strategy. The integrated solution brings all of the benefits of an “open systems archive approach” for a complete image distribution and archiving strategy. This offering enables healthcare organizations to use a modular approach for complete patient-centric systems that can manage and have access to unstructured information or content access in healthcare institutions.
Michael Simon, VP Business Development/Sales, Acuo Technologies, LLC said, “Healthcare organizations are moving toward health industry DICOM standards as they integrate applications, share and distribute information and deploy infrastructure. The Acuo Technologies, LLC solution aggregates proprietary systems together in a “plug and play” environment avoiding complex integrations, enhancing performance and availability. When information is stored in an open standards format, it becomes more portable and agile resulting in greater data mobility and performance. We are pleased with our extensive relationship with EMC and will continue to innovate with them.”
“EMC’s position as the leader in information infrastructure is strengthened with the support of Acuo Technologies, LLC DICOM expertise” said Ken Waldbillig, Director, Healthcare Clinical Informatics, EMC. “Partners like Acuo Technologies, LLC develop integrated solutions with EMC to leverage our extensive portfolio of hardware, software, services, and network of Healthcare Channel Partnerships to meet changing customer needs. Having this solution available through EMC Select extends our solution offerings for Healthcare customers. The DICOM Services Grid is available immediately through EMC’s world class selling organization.
