Integrated solution will be showcased by both companies at RSNA-2010

iNtuition can be purchased from Agfa HealthCare as an integral part of its IMPAX solutions -
Advanced visualization and decision-support tools are made available as an integrated part of the interpretation workflow. - For radiology, cardiology and nuclear medicine applications.

( RSNA-2010 Booth #8336) Agfa HealthCare , a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, announces  that it has entered into a value-added reseller agreement with TeraRecon, Inc, a global leader in enterprise advanced visualization and decision-support solutions. The agreement enables Agfa HealthCare to deliver TeraRecon 's award-winning iNtuition solution for thin-client advanced visualization as part of Agfa HealthCare's Picture Archiving and Communication System ( PACS ) and imaging IT offerings.

Advanced 3D features with a simple mouse click

Under the agreement, customers globally (excluding Japan) can purchase iNtuition as an integral part of Agfa HealthCare 's radiology and cardiovascular image management solutions. In addition, programs have been developed to streamline the process of upgrading from existing separate systems to a single solution under a single maintenance and support umbrella.

"With this agreement, the advanced 3D capabilities offered by TeraRecon 's iNtuition solution have been made available to IMPAX 6 customers, with automated tools for volume reconstruction and image analysis in radiology, cardiology and nuclear medicine applications. They can access those additional tools with a simple mouse click, while continuing to benefit from all the workflow tools IMPAX offers," explains Al Dyer, Imaging Informatics Global Business Manager at Agfa HealthCare .

iNtuition suite offers broad portfolio of advanced clinical tools

TeraRecon 's flagship iNtuition solution provides a broad portfolio of advanced clinical tools for volumetric imaging modalities such as CT , PET and MRI , for visualization, interpretation, quantitative analysis, planning and follow up. The solution is available as a highly-scalable and flexible software license that can be deployed across multiple servers as the needs and characteristics of the enterprise change or grow, and which can be readily scaled up for additional capacity, without the need to deploy or manage additional assets client-side. The iNtuition suite also includes the zero-footprint AquariusWEB viewer, which allows access to a fully 3D interactive set of key image findings, including vascular analysis and other interactive quantitative results. AquariusWEB can be readily integrated with an Electronic Medical Record system, since it can be launched from a simple URL referring to the iNtuition server and the patient or study in question.
