Anthro Corporation, the Tualatin, Oregon based manufacturer of furniture for technology, introduces the new Carl's Table, Model CT08, the most advanced radiology furniture to date for reading soft copy and for teleradiology applications.

The innovative CT08 is an ergonomic desk with motorized height movement and increased leg speed for quick adjustment from 28.5 inches to 48.5 inches.  The tilt adjustment facilitates all individual work positions, sitting or standing.  The tilting surface supports the forearm and shoulders, dramatically decreasing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.  CT08 also has height memory presets for individual users.

Not only does the CT08 hold up to four monitors on arms, it has a monitor positioning system that will electronically move the monitors with the push of a button.  Monitors are mounted to a rail and actuators control the up/down and in/out action.

Appropriate lighting is crucial for any radiology desk; Carl's Table's improved glare-free ambient back lighting is achieved with the station's integrated light.  An automatic sensor can be pointed to one of the two middle diagnostic monitors and will respond to the light density of that monitor. The flexible task lights can be ideally positioned and manually dimmed independently from the back lighting.

Air circulation has been added on the work surface to achieve ultimate comfort in PACS furniture.  A large 'coffee surface', ideal for personal items, is mounted either to the left or to the right of the work surface and remains level when the tilt mechanism is engaged.  It has ample room to mount a fifth monitor on an Anthro LCD arm.

The shelves on Carl's Table, Model CT08 are made out of MDF board and are Dark Grey membrane pressed; the metal is steel and aluminum, and is a powder coated silver metallic color.  It comes standard with a footrest, one back light, two LED task lights, ten power outlets attached to the back of the table and four in the front for easy access for equipment, and up to four monitor arms.  One CPU Holder is standard with the table, but a second CPU Holder can be purchased as an accessory, and will fit on the opposite side of the table.  The fabric covered privacy panel shields from behind and to the sides of the table to reduce noise by as much as 35 per cent.  There is a one year warranty for Electrical/Mechanical and all other components have a five year warranty.
