| Medical Conferences News - Arab Health Congress 2010 |
The Arab Health Congress 2010 established as the biggest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East, will be the larger in 2010 as the region's healthcare industry continues to grow.
With the addition of four new halls at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the next Arab Health from 25-28 January 2010 has expanded to accommodate more exhibitors than ever before, said Simon Page, Director of the Life Science Division of organisers IIR Middle East.
Established over three decades ago, the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress is the flagship event of IIR Middle East's Life Science Division and the region's premier event for the healthcare sector.
At the 2009 event, 2205 exhibitors from 59 countries showcased their products and services with more than 56,000 professionals from 145 countries attending. There are expected to be around 2,500 exhibitors at the 2010 event.
Arab Health features the world's largest multi-track medical congress for healthcare professionals who want to remain up-to-date in their specialisation and earn continuing medical education (CME) credits. The 2010 conferences will be addressed by around 500 eminent speakers and host more than 5,500 attendees.
Sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic Centre for Continuing Education, 17 of the 20 conferences this year provide the opportunity to earn CME credits. The subjects of the conferences include anaesthesia; medical imaging and diagnosis; cardiovascular diseases; orthopaedics; surgery; laboratory medicine; urology; paediatrics; gastroenterology and hepatology; sleep disorders; quality management in healthcare; endovascular; molecular imaging and nuclear medicine. Additional non-CME conferences include Leaders in Healthcare; the Healthcare Insurance Forum; and the Healthcare Management Forum.
The Arab Health Achievement and Innovation Awards recognising individuals, hospitals, departments, teams or organisations contributing to the growth and development of the industry will also be presented at the event. The winners will be announced during a gala dinner on 26 January 2010 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel for more than 700 of the region's leading healthcare professionals.
The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress are supported by the UAE Ministry of Health, Dubai Health Authority and the Abu Dhabi Health Authority.
