Aspyra to Demonstrate Orthopedic PACS at AAOS 2008

Aspyra, Inc. announced to demonstrate AccessMED Specialty PACS product at AAOS 2008. The Annual Meeting held at The Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA (March 5-7, 2008), Booth 5430.

Aspyra, Inc. will demonstrate AccessMED Specialty PACS with business partner, Imaging Dynamics Company (IDC) of Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the upcoming AAOS meeting. IDC is a provider of digital radiography (DR) solutions. Together, Aspyra and IDC provide efficient, feature-rich PACS and DR solutions that produce rapid return on investment (ROI) and long-term value for the orthopedic imaging environment.

Aspyra's AccessMED PACS is a medical imaging solution that allows the orthopedic physician to access multiple patient images electronically, utilizing tools specific to the orthopedic specialty. The AccessMED PACS product has been designed to manage to the needs of the orthopedic practice and workflow.

DC's X-Series DR solutions replace film-based X-rays and provide a cost-effective alternative to cassette based film or computed radiography (CR) systems. IDC's DR solution removes the need for chemicals, cassettes or imaging plates.

Bill Culton, Aspyra's Diagnostic Solutions Product Manager stated, "AccessMED has been designed to enable the orthopedic practice to experience lower costs by improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring patient safety with internal audit tools and access methods." He continued, "By incorporating PACS image management with IDC's DR solutions, the practice can further reduce costs with the omission of film and chemicals, as well as improve their image quality of diagnostic exams with end to end digital imaging."
