Aspyra to Demonstrate AccessRAD RIS/PACS at RBMA 2009 Radiology Summit

Company News - Aspyra, Inc.
Aspyra, Inc. announced plans to demonstrate the latest release of AccessRAD

Aspyra, Inc. (AMEX: APY) announced plans to demonstrate the latest release of AccessRAD, their RIS/PACS product at the upcoming Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) 2009 Radiology Summit held at Lowes Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, FL, June 7 - 10, 2009, Booth 411.

Aspyra's AccessRAD RIS/PACS is designed to meet the needs of acute care hospitals, enterprise-wide delivery networks, and medium to large imaging centers, with end-to-end solutions that automate processes at every point of patient and imaging encounter workflow. As the demand for imaging procedure volume increases, reimbursements decrease, and the demand for quick report turnaround times increases, a radiologist must read more studies in less time. To improve efficiencies, Aspyra's AccessRAD Version 6.4 contains new features and enhancements to increase productivity by requiring fewer workflow steps, more advanced hanging profiles and better presentation of relevant patient data.

Phyllis Hall, Site Manager for Carolina Regional Radiology (CRR), a current AccessRAD RIS/PACS customer located in North Carolina stated, "Aspyra has increased our facility's workflow and efficiency by coordinating our scheduling, order entry, reading, transcription, billing and reporting."

In today's healthcare environment, a patient's healthcare history may be distributed across many different healthcare facilities over a broad geographic area. This distribution increases the challenge to import and view a patient's complete exam history. Bill Culton, Aspyra's Diagnostic Solutions Product Manager stated, "With our viewer import and export tools, and order creation feature initiated when incoming diagnostic foreign studies are received from outside referring facilities, organizations such as CRR can easily import and export patient exams and reports in the AccessRAD, DICOM, or HTML format for exchange with other facilities or referring physicians." He continued, "These foreign study image orders are automatically processed by our RIS/PACS, thereby optimizing workflow, as well as increasing revenue by preventing lost charges due to missing or incorrect orders."

Aspyra is proud to be a global RBMA sponsor. For more information on the Radiology Business Management Association, visit www.rbma.org.
