BRIT PACSView addresses the specific needs of the digital orthopedic office with a lower cost solution designed to enhance clinical efficiency

BRIT Systems announced new orthopedic, workflow and image management features on BRIT PACSView, a Web-based DICOM Workstation that is available via an Internet download and packaged with a go-live module that includes training and support. The new features in Release 1.3 are designed to help enhance clinical efficiency by streamlining image review and automating the distribution of images to physicians or Roentgen Works’ pay-per-study off-site archive.  BRIT PACSView will be showcased at the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting in BRIT Systems’ booth #870.

To address the needs of the growing digital orthopedic practice environment, BRIT PACSView now includes a stitching tool for full spine and long bone studies. The viewer aligns the three images from different exposures for a full view of the long bone. Other easy-to-use annotations include a spine labeling tool, two-line Cobb measurement, drop perpendicular line, ruler and goniometer.  Users can also stretch and move all annotations. Plus, BRIT PACSView can receive images directly from the modality. Orthopedic templating and surgical planning software are optionally available. 

A new store and forward feature lets clinicians automate image distribution to an off-site archive such as Roentgen Works, a pay-per-study archive that uses the latest IT technologies, including cloud computing, to offer a low-cost and efficient method to secure data.

Additional enhancements include the ability to read and produce PDI compliant CDs, including a viewing application that will enable patients and other physicians to access and view the studies.   It can also print images to either a paper printer or a DICOM printer.
