Brit Systems Announces New Enhancements To Dashboard For Systems Management
| Company News - BRIT Systems |
Demonstrated for the first time at RSNA 2005, recent improvements to the system include greater visualization tools and easy-to-use management tools, further facilitating
system management tasks for the PACS or radiology administrator. Similar in design to an automobile’s dashboard, the Dashboard for Systems Management provides a consolidated screen for the system administrator to view vital aspects of PACS and infrastructure, including CPU load and network rates. CPU load is also graphed by time of day, providing the manager with crucial information on when the network and system will be at peak demand for better resource and utilization management. Warning lights also alert the user to network errors and connection or HL7 failures. The Dashboard can also assist in managing storage capacities. Individual icons illustrate the capacity for the database, archive and cache, as well as report on the rate of fill and expected full date.
“In today’s filmless or near-filmless environment, system managers need to see at a glimpse how their system is operating and they need tools to help them plan for the future, without going to a dozen different places and typing esoteric commands to get that information” said Michelle Fisher, vice president of sales, BRIT Systems. “This product is another example of BRIT listening to customers, understanding their needs and responding with solutions,” Fisher added. “I am proud that our team continues to innovate with new solutions that streamline system management and provide information on-demand.”
The Dashboard for Systems Management is immediately available on BRIT’s Roentgen Files RIS and PACS offerings.
