BRIT Systems releases Roentgen RIS 4.02 with new patient management capabilities

BRIT Systems releases Roentgen RIS 4.02 featuring new patient management capabilities that further enhance Web-based patient order entry and scheduling for hospitals and clinics.  The new capabilities for the highly functional, automated PACS / RIS will be showcased in BRIT Systems ’ booth 4225 at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America ( RSNA-2010 ), November 28 to December 2 in Chicago.

Roentgen RIS 4.02 introduces the entry of patient pictures as an identifier, insurance authorization and workers’ compensation information and configurable worklist color coding. It includes double-sided scanning of insurance cards, warning icons on the schedule for allergies or other patient and insurance alerts and documentation of patient reminder calling. New GUIs include extensive study history listings and HL-7 message management. Roentgen RIS 4.02 fully integrates with UrgentWorks for critical results reporting and ER discordance and supports an MPI for cross-enterprise support. BRIT Systems ' SmartSynch supports instant replication to a backup server.

“Better patient management and quality of care are made possible when radiology staff becomes more efficient, when they can better identify and communicate with patients, and quickly visualize patient problems ” says Shelly Fisher, President of BRIT Systems.
