InSite One, Inc. has announced the signing of a long-term storage contract with Elizabeth Wende Breast Care, LLC in Rochester, NY.

InSite One, Inc. announces today the signing of a long-term storage contract with Elizabeth Wende Breast Care, LLC (EWBC) in Rochester, NY, the nation's first freestanding mammography and breast imaging center, performing mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI and stereotactic biopsy. InSite One will manage the long-term storage, business continuity and disaster recovery for this leading breast care facility. EWBC determined that purchasing and managing the hardware and licensing the software to do digital image storage themselves was not the best use of their expertise, leading them to investigate industry vendors who provide long-term storage and disaster recovery solutions as a service.

"InSite One was chosen because of the demonstrated experience level with managed storage of Women’s Imaging in the digital framework," comments Tess Wade, Business Manager for Elizabeth Wende. "InSite One economical single-source solution delivers the technological and business continuance requirements necessary for our growing facility. In addition to being modality and PACS vendor neutral the added benefits in minimizing the cost of future data migration, reducing system downtime and eliminating tape backups were clear to us." Ms Wade continued.

The complexities of Women's Imaging creates challenges for healthcare institutions of all sizes in keeping pace with emerging imaging technology; the retention and capacity requirements for digital exams and the clinical need for accessibility to historical studies. InSite One's patented data security measures and "intelligent archiving" design have been successfully implemented in hundreds of standalone and hospital based installations addressing imaging industry requirements for a flexible on-demand and cost effective means for storing and distributing digital medical data.
