Forrest General Hospital was recognized by J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Hospital Program for excellence in its cardiovascular services
Kevin Lieb, a representative with J.D. Power, said the hospital’s cardiovascular department scored an overall 905 points out of a possible 1,000 points.
Lieb said the award is based on feedback from 300 recently discharged cardiovascular patients who participated in a telephone survey.
Questions asked related to the level of dignity and respect they received, speed and efficiency of the staff and facility, comfort levels, information and communication provided and the level of emotional support offered by the staff.
“We are honored to receive this award,” said hospital CEO Evan Dillard. “This award is a true recognition of the hard work that occurs in our cardiovascular services areas and throughout each area of our organization to ensure that each patient we serve receives the latest technology available, but also has positive patient experience from the moment they come through our doors to the moment they are discharged to go home.”
