| Specialties - Cardiology |
Positron , a molecular imaging solutions company focused on Nuclear Cardiology, said that it views its recent attendance at the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) as a success.
The conference was located in Minneapolis and served to showcase the company's newly developed cardiac optimized PET scanner, the Attrius, to the nuclear cardiology imaging community. The company said more than 1,200 physicians, scientists and technologists from every practice setting attend the ASNC Annual Scientific Session for professional education, career enhancement and to renew their commitment to the profession.
Joseph Oliverio, Chief Technology Officer of Positron , said, "An elevated concern over existing Molybdenum shortages, patient radiation exposure and the proposed cuts for SPECT imaging has resulted in industry experts designating Cardiac PET as the immediate future of Nuclear Cardiology. Positron's Attrius is the only dedicated PET system optimized for cardiology imaging on the market today. We are ideally positioned to capitalize on current market demand and look forward to selling many systems in the near future."
