SCCT Provides New Portable Cardiac CT Training
| Specialties - Cardiology |
The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) is offering a new supplement to the popular SCCT 25 Mentored Cardiovascular CT Cases.
The e-Zio, provided by Ziosoft in cooperation with CVCTA Education, is a software program which allows DICOM data to be downloaded onto any standard desktop or laptop computer.
The trainee is given the ability to view 3D data, maximum intensity projection (MIP) and multi-planar reformats (MPR) along with learning multi-planar viewing techniques. Video tutorials are included, allowing real-time work on any computer with straightforward, user friendly software. The e-Zio workstation allows the SCCT 25 Mentored Cardiovascular CT Cases training to be completed anywhere on the trainees desktop or laptop computer. This application is designed for training only and should not be used for diagnostic purposes.
"The e-Zio workstation is an easy-to-use application that is the perfect complement to the SCCT 25 Mentored Cardiovascular CT Cases," said Stephan Achenbach, MD, FSCCT, Professor of Medicine, Department of Cardiology, University of Erlangen, Germany and Chair of Education Committee for SCCT. "It allows interactive handling of DICOM data, which is essential to learn, understand and improve skills in coronary CTA. SCCT is proud to offer this cutting-edge technology and we are sure that users will enjoy the ease of reading these cases just using a normal PC or laptop, possibly even in the comfort of their own home."
