Emory Clark-Holder Clinic purchased a CARESTREAM DRX-1 System and two CARESTREAM Elite CR Systems from Carestream Health
Emory Clark-Holder Clinic in LaGrange, Ga., purchased a CARESTREAM DRX-1 System and two CARESTREAM Elite CR Systems from Carestream Health as part of its conversion from radiographic film to a digital imaging workflow. This multi-specialty practice with 28 physicians and 13 nurse practitioners conducts 20,000 imaging exams a year and serves a large rural area.
The clinic is installing a DRX-1 system to provide high-quality imaging along with optimized throughput in its primary general radiology room. “We have a very diverse imaging environment since our clinic serves general practitioners and specialists ranging from interventional cardiologists to general surgeons, oncologists and gastroenterologists,” said Eric Blackman, the clinic’s Director of Operations. “The DRX-1 system offers the extremely high image quality required by our physicians. It also provides immediate image review and the positioning flexibility offered by a thin, wireless detector that is the same size as our film cassettes.”
The DRX-1 system will also perform long-length exams, he added.
One Elite CR system will serve two additional x-ray rooms through the use of a remote operations panel in the second room. The second Elite CR system will be installed in an affiliated primary care practice in West Point, Ga.
