Carestream Health announces shipment of 50,000th laser imaging system

Company News - Carestream Health, Inc.
As Carestream Health, Inc., approaches its first year anniversary as an independent corporation, the company announced it has shipped its 50,000th KODAK DRYVIEW Laser Imaging System.
"Carestream Health's laser imagers have continuously exceeded expectations for reliability, while satisfying centralized and decentralized printing needs for healthcare providers worldwide," said Marco Bucci, President, Medical Films & Printing Solutions, Carestream Health. "Our design team has also pioneered remote diagnostics and service capabilities for this product family, along with other innovations that have been very well received by customers."

The company's 1998 acquisition of Imation's medical imaging business boosted it to the market-leading position in medical dry laser printing, enabling customers to print diagnostic images onto radiographic film with an efficient dry process that set new standards for image quality. Carestream Health continued to innovate its dry laser product portfolio and this technology is now a standard in the industry.

Carestream Health's laser imagers are available in four models that range from desktop systems designed for imaging centers, small hospitals and clinics to fully featured units designed for high volume, multi-modality output at hospitals of all sizes. These imagers offer output from PACS, CT, MRI, computed radiography and digital radiography systems, and other grayscale imaging applications."
