Carestream showcasing their latest RIS and PACS solutions at RSNA
Q: What products, updates or innovations are you announcing or launching at RSNA?
We will showcase the latest features of our successful Kodak Carestream RIS and PACS solutions that drive an efficient global workflow in single site and multi-site environments. Dynamic streaming capabilities enhance the rapid delivery of images for convenient reading or viewing by clinicians in on-site and remote locations. Our Carestream PACS offers optional integrated applications such as image fusion, orthopaedic surgical templating, 3-D imaging and advanced cardiac features.
We are different from other suppliers in what we can offer as no one has a PACS desktop with native 3D and integrated RIS-PACS offering. In addition, we will showcase our standard configuration RIS which enables increased productivity, more efficient patient scheduling and exam workflow, and comprehensive reporting capabilities for small to medium-sized hospitals with. Also, we will debut two new CR systems: Kodak Directview Classic and Elite CR Systems. These compact, floor standing, single-cassette CR systems can help improve workflow, productivity and patient throughput.
Q: What are the benefits of using your product?
Our products enable healthcare providers to dramatically improve the quality and cost of care. For example, our Carestream Radiology Solutions can be easily integrated with third-party radiology, clinical, or hospital information systems -- including third-party RIS-PACS systems -- to create highly productive desktop and workflow environments for customers that want to use components from other suppliers. Additionally, our IT solutions enable facilities to more efficiently manage the huge increase in patient images and information. The scalable healthcare IT solutions we offer can support any size facility -- from small hospitals or group practices to a regional healthcare system with dozens of connected sites.
Q: What are you hoping to achieve from this year's RSNA?
Our goal is simple: we will demonstrate for RSNA attendees that we have a broad portfolio of dynamic products and solutions that help medical professionals solve problems, enhance patient care and improve efficiency. Most importantly, we have a dedicated and highly skilled team of people around the world that can do things no other company can when it comes to serving customers.
Q: What key messages do you have for RSNA attendees?
We offer powerful imaging and information management solutions including fully-featured RIS-PACS; business diagnostic and workflow optimization services; and professional services for network and system design, implementation, integration and data migration services that few suppliers can match. Our PACS platform will support workflow grid computing, which facilitates storage and retrieval of information throughout an enterprise. In addition, Carestream Health was the first to integrate disparate processing and image analysis tools -- such as advanced 3-D processing -- in its PACS workstations.
Q: How do you see the year ahead in clinical and business terms?
We are building a culture of innovation, technology leadership and human sensitivity at Carestream Health -- all for the purpose of helping our customers succeed. Our experts around the world continue to uncover new technologies that solve customer problems -- and our primary goal in the coming year is to serve customers like no other company can.
