Carrot Medical 's Technology Installed at Yale Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Carrot Medical has announced its successful completion of product installations at four top hospitals in the U.S.  With the recent installations of its C-View system, the Boston-based company has installed a total of seven of its state-of-the-art information integration systems at four sites – Yale Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Carrot’s C-View replaces the multiple monitor configuration traditionally used by clinicians to monitor patients, with a single 56-inch LCD display with four times the resolution of standard high-definition monitors. The single display enables users to integrate information from multiple vendors, including x-ray , MRI , 3-D Mapping systems, ultrasound and other visual modalities and data sources.

In addition to its video integration technology, the Carrot C-View system uses a 3840x2160 LCD display that has 4 times more scanning lines than conventional HD monitors and can integrate up to 24 video sources and display up to 16 images simultaneously.  When integrated with Carrot’s C-Com wireless communication system, the entire solution synchronizes clinical activities and provides for improved collaboration among clinical team members.

The system also facilitates remote educational instruction by transmitting real time audio and visual information in a single, synchronized file and, allows instant access to archived, synchronized multi-image recording and playback.

The company currently has a number of installations pending, according to Sparacio.  The three main markets for the Carrot system are currently electrophysiology, interventional radiology and interventional cardiology.  Products to support applications throughout other clinical specialties are under development.
