Company News - Cerner Corporation

Universal Health Services, Inc. implements multiple healthcare information technology ( healthcare IT ) solutions from Cerner Corporation.

Universal Health Services, Inc., one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare management companies, will implement multiple healthcare information technology (HIT) solutions from Cerner. Implementation of Cerner Millennium solutions will improve patient safety and clinical efficiencies through an integrated system that will support clinical processes for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other clinical personnel.

“The implementation of Cerner Millennium solutions will help give clinicians the information they need to make informed decisions about patient care,” said Trace Devanny, Cerner president. “Having the right information at the right time will help clinicians provide better, safer care to patients.”

The Cerner Millennium solutions implemented will be hosted by Cerner through its Remote Hosting Option (RHO), which provides secure hosting, hardware, connectivity and HIT expertise from state-of-the-art technology centers. Through Cerner’s RHO, clients can use Cerner solutions without the upfront capital and resource investment required to build, maintain and secure an HIT infrastructure.
