CitiusTech announced that it is collaborating with CCHIT(R) and MITRE Corporation for Project LAIKA

CitiusTech, a leading software technology and consulting company announced that it is collaborating with CCHIT(R) and MITRE Corporation for Project LAIKA. As a key Project LAIKA contributor, CitiusTech has led the development of test automation tools including PIX/PDQ testing for the LAIKA platform.

LAIKA, jointly created by CCHIT (Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology) and the MITRE Corporation, is an open source initiative with the objectives of creating an EHR testing framework for automating CCHIT certification inspections, and for supporting developers and integrators of HIT products. All software, data and designs associated with the project are freely available via an Apache 2.0 Open Source distribution license.

"We are proud to be associated with CCHIT on this prestigious initiative. Project LAIKA provides a highly scalable interoperability testing framework for clinical and medical imaging messaging. Our pro-bono work for Project LAIKA has given CitiusTech good experience in supporting our HIT partners work towards achieving CCHIT certification requirements," said Bimal R. Naik, SVP Projects at CitiusTech.

"CitiusTech has been a strong LAIKA contributor and has developed the PIX/PDQ capabilities. They have also contributed in other areas of cross-enterprise interoperability testing, including generation of comprehensive audit logs and user guides for supporting developers and integrators. CitiusTech's experience in healthcare interoperability technologies, interoperability standards especially HL7 and IHE, and its knowledge of test automation has been very relevant for the LAIKA Project," said Dennis Wilson, Certification Technology Director at CCHIT.

CitiusTech will continue to work closely with the Project LAIKA team on other initiatives based on the LAIKA development roadmap.
