Clario Medical Imaging announced it is making its Software Development Kit (SDK) available for research use

Clario Medical Imaging, a new company focused on development and delivery of Clinical Image Processing (CIP) software, announced that it is making its Software Development Kit (SDK) available for research use. The Clario SDK will allow researchers to develop plug-in software components that are sharable within the research community.

The Clario SDK is being developed in conjunction with a developing standard currently being documented by DICOM Working Group 23 (Supplement 118). If approved, DICOM Supplement 118 will allow the research community to exchange CIP software efficiently. This will assist in multi-center clinical trial logistics and potentially create an efficient pathway to market for university research software.

Both the University of Washington and Brigham and Women’s Hospital have decided to begin developing software to Supplement 118, and have also decided to use the Clario SDK in their development environments.

“We are excited about the benefits that Supplement 118 will bring to the Clinical Image Processing community” said Dr. Francine Jacobson, of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. “We have decided to integrate the Clario SDK into our research labs based upon their leadership position within the standards committee and their innovative image perception tools”.
