| Company News - CoActiv Medical |
CoActiv debuts at RSNA 2007 a range of products and services that make its EXAM-PACS and related web-based image management solutions among the most advanced, comprehensive and cost-effective.
At RSNA 2007 , CoActiv introduces EXAM-RIS, a fully web-based radiology information system ( RIS ) tightly integrated with CoActiv web-based enterprise EXAM-PACS . The new RIS includes:
- Single and multi–site scheduling
- Multi-site billing
- Information and charting ( EMR )
- Document scanning
- Web-based dictation
- Transcription
- Exam report templating
- Auto report distribution via fax, email, print, and PACS
- Billing (Charge capture and submission of CPT and ICD9 codes)
- Custom management reports
- Voice recognition integration (optional)
- Modality worklist
- HL7 integration with HIS, billing and other applications
With this addition to its expanding line of applications and services, CoActiv becomes a true one-stop source for a fully integrated PACS/RIS/dictation/billing solution. Along with this, CoActiv continues to offer complete HL7 and other integration services to current and new clients for additional RIS/HIS/dictation vendors, including Meditech, Siemens, Medinformatix, InStar, PowerScribe, Dragon, Dictaphone, etc.
CoActiv PAPERLESS-PACS
At RSNA 2007, CoActiv EXAM-PACS becomes not only filmless but also completely paperless to deliver important new efficiencies. Ultra-fast comprehensive EXAM-PACS electronic workflow benefits every PACS user and supports complete remote exam interpretation and reporting for CoActiv EXAM-NET’s ever-growing tele-radiology users. Gone are yesterday’s film jackets filled with prescriptions, clinical information, technologist notes, insurance pre-certifications, release forms, power of attorney releases, US sheets, mammo sheets and more. With CoActiv’s new paperless features, all this cumbersome but necessary paperwork is quickly and easily scanned and attached to digital exams for instant review in both the CoActiv EXAM-CONSOLE and EXAM-VIEWER windows. Built-in EXAM-PACS software supports scanning with any TWAIN compliant single- or multi-sheet scanner. The scanning feature comes standard on EXAM-PACS and is provided as a free upgrade to existing users. CoActiv also debuts unique automatic color coding in both its Search and Worklist windows. Now all pending exams as well as studies acquired during the last six hours are displayed in green. Following this, colors change as exams age, with progressive updates at 12, 18 and 24 hours. Colors and time cycles are configurable individually by location. This color-coding, coupled with new unlimited exam list display filters, result in extremely customizable worklists, accessible in a single mouse click. Now, busy radiologists, for example, can view Un-Read MR brain studies acquired during the past 12 hours at designated sites A and B. Radiologists can create an unlimited number of CoActiv custom display filters. These are accessible from any viewing location as part of the radiologist’s customized CoActiv desktop.
