CoActiv Medical Business Solutions introduces a new automated medical imaging solution for The National Digital Medical Archive ( NDMA ) customers.
CoActiv Medical Business Solutions, developer of EXAM-PACS , EXAM-ESSENTIALS and EXAM-VAULT QUAD-REDUNDANT ARCHIVING introduces a new automated medical imaging solution for The National Digital Medical Archive ( NDMA ) customers. This new product is designed specifically to meet the needs of those transitioning to a new storage solution, as NDMA discontinues its traditional model for image archiving services. The new CoActiv program will combine an NDMA-validated data migration solution with both onsite and offsite multi-modality managed archiving and a unique streamlined exam management module that automatically and instantly delivers all relevant prior images to appropriate customer workstations, along with current patient images.
CoActiv EXAM-VAULT automates image archiving through an innovative, ultra-secure QUAD-REDUNDANT ARCHIVE system that stores data in four geographically separate locations. For ultra-fast access, EXAM-VAULT can easily store up to 10 to 20 or more years of exams online locally at the imaging site, in addition to two TIER-IV data centers in different states. These facilities each access different power grids and Internet peering points. For another level of security, redundant copies of all client exams are also stored on two sets of 25-year archival DVDs. One set is sent to the client site for local shelf storage, and one is retained by CoActiv for extra security. This new CoActiv solution was developed in consultation with a number of the country’s foremost women’s imaging centers.
Its migration functionality has been approved by NDMA and tested by former NDMA customers. This comprehensive offering includes complete exam migration, redundant on- and offsite storage, CoActiv’s innovative “prior-fetching” functionality and more, all at an affordable price. Users of this new version of the CoActiv EXAM-VAULT archiving will enjoy instant multi-year retrieval of priors, along with HIPAA-compliant and audited security. CoActiv IT and data security experts will monitor and manage all archiving functionality and maintain an ongoing commitment to technology upgrades, making obsolescence a thing of the past. The new CoActiv archiving solution will support the full range of radiology, cardiology, orthopedic, oncology imaging and related data, from x-ray, CT and MRI to mammography and bone densitometry. The solution also supports innovative digital acquisition, viewing, distribution and storage for radiation therapy, breast specific gamma imaging, nuclear medicine, PET/CT and more.
