CoActiv Medical, the leading digital image management company, has appointed Doug Hayes Sales Director for the West Coast Region.

In his new position, Hayes will be responsible for both direct and indirect sales in the west coast states, Alaska and Hawaii for the entire CoActiv PACS, RIS, cloud-based storage and related digital imaging product line.

Hayes brings to the leading medical imaging company more than 25 years of executive sales experience in the healthcare technology arena.  During his career, he has played a leading role in the introduction of a number of innovative technologies in the medical imaging sector. He has been responsible for overall planning and budgeting for key customer alliances as well as the implementation of strategic sales, marketing and growth efforts.

Prior to joining CoActiv, Hayes held several Western Region sales leadership positions with  ;PACS and medical IT firms.. Most recently, he was with NDS Surgical Imaging, an internationally recognized innovator in diagnostic PACS displays, and Symantec Health, the global leader in data security and management for healthcare providers.

For five years, he was Western Regional Manager for Visage Imaging, a PACS and RIS company.  As a sales team leader, he helped Visage launch its thin client PACS solution.  In the early days of advanced visualization, Hayes was the original sales executive for TeraRecon, Inc. in its Western Zone.  During his four year tenure, he was instrumental in building the company’s 3D workstation and 3D server/thin client business and led the Western Zone sales team to notable success. Hayes also held earlier senior sales management positions with American Telecare, a pioneer in home telemedicine technology, Smiths Medical, 3M Healthcare and Baxter.

Douglas Hayes holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University.  He and his wife have one daughter and reside in Newport Beach, CA.
