Top Ranked Medical Imaging Management Provider Launches Major National Sales Channel Expansion Effort.

CoActiv Medical, the PACS, RIS and cloud-based digital archiving innovator, announces Biomedical Equipment Corp. of Miami as its first distribution partner in its new national dealer recruitment effort to complement its direct sales force.

Biomedical Equipment, a specialized reseller and systems integrator for a complete spectrum of medical imaging equipment, will distribute the full line of CoActiv products in Southern Florida and the Caribbean.  “We are extremely enthusiastic about working with CoActiv because the company offers a comprehensive line of simple-to-use, high performance PACS and digital archiving solutions at an affordable price point,” says Ray Gonzalez, CEO of Biomedical.  “Their commitment to leading edge technology and to meeting the full range of a customer’s needs is closely aligned with our own.” 

According to CoActiv’s Vice President of Sales Frank Baker, CoActiv views its new distribution partnerships as an important growth path and is committed to supporting resellers by generating leads through aggressive advertising campaigns and a high level of sales support.  “Often manufacturers fail to provide PACS resellers with the technical and marketing assistance they need to successfully sell products and cultivate customer relationships,” he says.  “CoActiv is entering these new dealer agreements fully committed to acting as a true partner and ensuring that resellers have the company’s full backing to service their clients.”

Under the new agreement, Biomedical will distribute the complete CoActiv EXAM-PACS® web-based PACS, new optional, integrated EXAM-RIS® and the company’s cloud-based EXAM-VAULT® Quad-Redundant vendor-neutral archiving throughout Southern Florida and areas such as Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.  ;EXAM-PACS supports such premium features as breast specific gamma imaging (BSGI) and storage of non-DICOM data, such as prescriptions and reports in patient files.  The company recently debuted EXAM-BROWSER®, a zero-footprint web-based image viewer compatible with a full range of mobile devices.  Biomedical will also individually offer EXAM-PACS modular components and CoActiv’s EXAM-ESSENTIALS® plug-and-play PACS for small hospitals and practices.
