RiverView Health to unveil cutting-edge diagnostic tool, the Siemens SOMATOM Definition Flash computed tomography ( CT) scanner.

The new CT scanner at RiverView Health can conduct a full body scan of a patient, in 4.3 seconds, to be precise. In less than 1 second, it can scan the entire chest, detecting disease in the tiniest of vessels in the heart and lung, or a threatening embolism forming inside a patient.

RiverView identified a new scanner as a top priority, mostly because the one they were using was getting old, and because demand for CT scans has never been higher.
