Compuware will be showcasing EHR Service Delivery at the HIMSS 2010 (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Conference, March 1-4 in Atlanta, GA at booth #4608.

Compuware Corporation announced that the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), a pioneering leader in clinical automation, will discuss the challenges the organization faced in getting to Stage 6 EMR adoption. Additionally, DMC will detail how end-to-end application performance management using Compuware's EHR Service Delivery Solution played a role in this accomplishment by improving clinician adoption and productivity. The presentation will take place at the HIMSS 10 Conference in Atlanta on March 3, 2010.

The session, titled: "Getting to Stage 6: Lessons Learned from an Urban Medical Center," will feature Mike LeRoy, DMC's Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer who will highlight DMC's IT journey to achieving Stage 6 of HIMSS Analytics' EMR Adoption Model. Mr. LeRoy will discuss the lessons learned and methods used to manage implementation and application performance.

The HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model tracks EMR progress at U.S. hospitals and health systems. The EMR adoption model scores more than 4,000 hospitals in the HIMSS Analytics Database on their progress in completing the eight stages to creating a paperless patient record environment.

According to HIMSS Analytics, DMC is the largest U.S. healthcare system to reach Stage 6 of the EMR Adoption Model. In order for a hospital to be at Stage 6, full physician documentation must be implemented for at least one patient care service area and a full complement of radiology PACS systems must be implemented, providing full digital medical imaging to physicians. All lower stages must have been achieved as well.
