The 2009 AMIA Spring Congress will be held May 28 - 30, at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel in Orlando, Florida

- Public Health Informatics: Presentations that combine the domains of health information science and technology with the practice and science of public health to assure and to improve the health of populations. Examples may include (not exclusive) biosurveillance, emergency preparedness, case reporting, etc.
- Global e-Health: Presentations that focus on the use of information and communications technology to improve the access, efficiency and quality of global health services, particularly in low-resource settings. Examples may include (not exclusive) Open MRS, AMIA’s 10x10/20/20, telehealth, etc.
- Clinical Research Informatics: Presentations that focus on informatics approaches to advancing clinical discovery and advancing clinical care. Examples may include (not exclusive) BIRN, caBIG, etc.
- Informatics Practice-based Research: Presentations that deal with studies of the implementation, testing, and evaluation of informatics discoveries in practice. Examples may include (not exclusive) CDSS, Workflow Modeling, Usability, EHRs/PHRs, etc.
