Confirma Sees Continued Strong Demand for MRI-CAD with the Launch of New Applications

Company News - Confirma Inc.

CADstream Continues to Gain Momentum as the Standard of Care in MRI-CAD

Confirma, pioneer of CADstream, a dedicated MRI-CAD system designed to maximize workflow, announced that it continues to see strong demand for MRI-CAD with the launch of its newest applications earlier this year. The Company’s new MRI-CAD applications provide enhanced workflow to facilitate the analysis and reporting of prostate and liver MRI studies. The prostate application is now available worldwide and the application for liver will be available late 2009. Both applications are specifically designed to standardize and enhance workflow of these important studies.

Demand has also increased due to the introduction of Confirma’s next generation breast MRI application which is now available with important new features that improve speed, ease-of-use, reliability, patient monitoring and integration. Nearly 1,500 imaging centers throughout the world rely on CADstream for improved analysis and reporting of breast MRI studies. According to Millenium Research, CADstream commands 64 percent of the installed base of MRI-CAD systems; further, CADstream for breast MRI was named the standard of care by Frost & Sullivan.

“Since its introduction, CADstream has become the standard of care in breast MRI and is now mission critical for radiologists analyzing breast MRI studies,” said Wayne Wager, President and CEO, Confirma. “CADstream has been proven to enhance the way MRI studies are processed, read and reported by providing dramatic improvements to workflow and economics for radiology practices.”

Wager continued, “We have spent years developing and refining CADstream for breast MRI. We are now pleased to apply our considerable MRI-CAD design experience to the analysis of pelvic and abdominal MRI studies.”

Confirma will be hosting an online educational case review, Practical Breast MRI Interpretation Using CADstream, with Ian Gardiner, MD, Canada Diagnostic Center on June 19, 2009 at 7:00 am (PT). For details and to register, visit www.confirma.com.
