DR Systems Announces New PACS Contracts
| Company News - DR Systems, Inc. |
DR Systems, leading independent provider of enterprise imaging and information management systems announced new contracts, including two data migrations from legacy PACS.
DR Systems , makers of the Unity RIS/PACS, announced four new contracts, including two data migrations from legacy PACS. The new contracts total more than $2.27 million. The four facilities are:
Jameson Health System
Elizabethtown Diagnostic Imaging
Windber Medical Center
Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf
Data migrations from legacy PACS are a part of the Jameson Health System and Elizabethtown Diagnostic Imaging contracts. The legacy PACS at Jameson was a Siemens Cosmos system. At Elizabethtown, the legacy PACS is by GE.
Data migration involves the transfer of historical exams from a previously used PACS (picture archiving and communications systems) onto a newly acquired PACS.
DR Systems uses sophisticated software tools, overseen by in-house experts, to execute data migrations. Many other vendors, by comparison, require manual manipulation of the data and file transfers facilitated by a third-party contractor. DR Systems’ approach dramatically reduces the time required for a migration, reduces costs, and minimizes human errors.
