DR Systems Lands Six Contracts Worth More Than $2.3 Million

Company News - DR Systems, Inc.

DR Systems announced six new contracts including two data migrations from legacy PACS

DR Systems , makers of the Unity RIS/PACS, announced six new contracts, including two data migrations from legacy PACS. The new contracts total more than $2.33 million. The six facilities are:

Delta Medical Center
Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County
Santiam Memorial Hospital
Imaging Center of London
HealthCare Partners Medical Group
Saddleback Memorial Medical Center

The Delta Medical Center and Imaging Center of London contracts include data migrations from legacy picture archiving and communications systems ( PACS ). Data migration involves the transfer of historical exams from a previously used PACS into a newly acquired PACS.

DR Systems uses sophisticated software tools, overseen by in-house experts, to execute data migrations. Many other vendors, by comparison, require exam file transfers facilitated by a third-party contractor. DR Systems’ single vendor approach dramatically reduces errors, simplifies project coordination; reducing migration time and cost.

The HealthCare Partners Medical Group and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center contracts include DR Systems’ Unity Women’s Health Imaging option. The company’s industry leading approach to integrating digital mammography with PACS includes reporting and regulatory tracking.

Healthcare Partners Medical Group’s facility is the largest virtual machine (VM) environment implementation for a Unity RIS/PACS to date. VM implementation reduces hardware costs by running more applications with less servers, resulting in lower energy consumption, application provisioning, and maintenance yet provides higher availability and improved disaster recovery.

The largest of the new contracts was for more than $1 million, with the smallest at about $225,000. This range reflects the scalable nature of DR Systems’ RIS/PACS.
