Digisonics new installations in August and September 2009

St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo., purchased the DigiView Image Management and Reporting System and two DigiNet Pro licenses. St. John’s Mercy Medical Center will now have access to the latest cardiovascular technology in image analysis, professional reporting, clinical database and PACS image archive anywhere, anytime.

Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas, recently purchased one DigiView workstation. Their DigiView system will be formatted specifically for the pediatric workflow with configurable pediatric clinical comments and pick lists, pediatric normal-range tables, and graphics with edit capabilities for congenital heart defects.

Colorado Springs Cardiologists in Colorado Springs, Colo., added a PDF Report Export interface for automated transmission of finalized reports from the Digisonics cardiovascular information system (CVIS) to NextGen (EMR). The site will also implement DigiServe, a multi-site integration module that provides independent operation at each location, auto-restore capabilities and a transfer facility used to automatically copy studies from the main archive.

Dr. Wood Deming, in Jackson, Tenn., purchased DigiView Review, a clinical image managementapplication, enabling him to review his patient studies transferred from CD and DVD.

Beaver Medical Center in Redlands, Calif., obtained a fifth Cardiology Reading Station (CRS) designed to further enhance and facilitate its reporting and clinical database for cardiovascular modalities. CRS supports Echo, Vascular, Cath, Stress, Nuclear, CT and MR modalities.

Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, N.Y. and Guthrie Ambulatory Health Care Clinic in Fort Drum, N.Y., added OBLinks to auto transfer data from their Philips ultrasound machines to the OB-Windows reporting and database system. The OBLink package transmits patient data, such as demographics and measurements from more than 60 ultrasound machines to the Digisonics software. OBLink’s electronic transmission capability reduces human input errors and increases productivity.

Christie Clinic in Champaign, Ill., purchased an OB-Windows along with an OBLink for its Philips/ATL HDI 5000 ultrasound machine. The OB-Windows OB/GYN reporting and database program will provide an integrated clinical database, fetal growth analysis and professional reporting for users at Christie Clinic.

Kaiser Permanente Health System in Atlanta, Ga., expanded its electronic workflow by adding a ninth OB-Windows license.

Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio, implemented Digisonics DICOM Gateway, image processing software that monitors and records transactions across a site’s network. The software will minimize potential data losses that occur when a gateway, network or imaging modality fails.
