New Customer Selects Digisonics SRIM for OB/GYN, Vascular and General Ultrasound Studies

Company News - Digisonics, Inc.
Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago selected Digisonics Structured Reporting and Image Management (SRIM ) system
The Digisonics Structured Reporting and Image Management (SRIM) system was recently chosen by the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Ill., for OB/GYN, vascular and general ultrasound studies. The hospital will implement OB-Windows Structured Reporting software with OB-Windows Net capabilities for access to OB/GYN structured reports and growth analysis charts over the Web. DigiView’s Cardiology Reading System with CRS-Net capabilities and general ultrasound structured reporting will be utilized by physicians and clinicians for vascular and general ultrasound studies via the Web.

Digisonics DataLink modules will autopopulate patient biometry information from the site’s Acuson Sequoia and Parks Flo-Lab ultrasound systems to the Digisonics systems. All medical information will be transmitted via HL7 interfaces for Order-In/Results-Out with the site’s Meditech HIS. Digisonics Rolodex was purchased by the OB/GYN department to auto-send finalized reports via e-mail, fax and direct print options to referring physicians.  Digisonics data mining application, Search will enable clinicians and administrators in both the cardiology and OB/GYN departments to query specific patient and procedure data within the clinical databases. The Gateway Monitor will continuously monitor and record network and application activities to ensure an efficient and streamlined workflow.

Two existing customers, North State Imaging in Chico, Calif., and Pediatrix Medical Group in Sunrise, Fla., expanded their OB-Windows and OB-View Image Management and Structured Reporting Systems by purchasing OBLink modules for their respective Philips iU22 and Acuson Sequoia ultrasound systems. OBLink modules simplify and automate the transmission of critical patient biometry from the ultrasound system to the Digisonics software, reducing data entry time and potential input errors.
