DocSite PQRI Program a Success for 2008 Submitters

Company News - DocSite, LLC.

DocSite announces that their PQRI customers are receiving their 2008 PQRI incentive bonuses from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

DocSite , a leader in point-of-care decision support, quality performance management and health information exchange services to the healthcare industry, announced that their Physician’s Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) customers are receiving their 2008 PQRI incentive bonuses from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS will continue to distribute 2008 incentive payments through the end of November, and approved physicians will receive their payment by check or direct deposit, depending on how they traditionally receive payments from Medicare.

PQRI allows physicians and hospitals the opportunity to qualify for incentive payments up to two percent of their total allowed Physician Fee Schedule charges for Medicare Part B covered services for that year. DocSite PQRIsm is a CMS-certified Registry that provides a simple, effective way for physicians to submit their data to qualify for their PQRI incentive, ultimately improving patient care and lowering costs. DocSite PQRI customers are reaping the benefits of using this easy and affordable pay-for-performance program.

Many medical associations have partnered with DocSite, offering their members access to the web-based service at a discounted rate. Efforts to inform their members and encourage them to submit with DocSite PQRI have proven beneficial.

DocSite PQRI supports the 30 consecutive patient rule using clinical data rather than complex billing codes to satisfy the PQRI requirements established by Medicare. Physicians still have time to take advantage of the 2009 PQRI bonus program; data must be submitted to DocSite by February 28, 2010, and all data submitted after December 31, 2009 must have been collected during CY2009 office visits.
