ECG: Ms. Francine D. Merenghi Joins St. Louis Office

ECG Management Consultants, Inc. welcomes Ms. Francine D. Merenghi, medical group integration and optimization expert, to St. Louis Office
ECG Management Consultants, Inc., one of the nation's premier healthcare management consulting firms, announced that Ms. Francine D. Merenghi has joined the company's St. Louis office as a Principal within the Healthcare - Midwest practice. As a senior-level executive with more than 20 years of experience, she provides leadership, oversight, and strategic and operational direction in helping health systems and medical groups build a solid foundation for the future. She will assist ECG 's clients in a full range of services, including strategic planning, business development, operations, and physician/hospital relationships. She has a broad understanding of the complex issues facing healthcare organizations and the ability to develop practical solutions.
Commenting on the hire, the leader of ECG s Healthcare - Midwest practice, Mr. James W. Before joining ECG , Ms. Merenghi was the Vice President of Operations for a 350-physician enterprise affiliated with a leading St. Louis integrated healthcare delivery system. She also had responsibility for physician recruiting, enterprise information technology, corporate health, retail pharmacies, and optical shops. In her role, Ms. Merenghi developed the "practice of the future" strategic plan and introduced Lean design as an approach to patient-centered care and process redesign within an electronic environment. She formalized and accelerated physician recruiting efforts, resulting in the employment of more than 100 new physicians in 2 years, and she defined a framework for a structured physician practice acquisition/integration process. Under her direction, Epic Systems Corporation's EMR was successfully implemented, within budget and on time, in 92 separate physician practices. Prior to that, Ms. Merenghi served as a Principal with another healthcare consulting firm, where she provided interim executive management services and focused on reengineering, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices within provider and payor organizations. Ms. Merenghi led the start-up and served as Chief Executive Officer of a management services organization (MSO) and primary care network for a leading university, and she has held other senior leadership positions within multispecialty groups and a faculty practice plan. She also was involved in developing a provider-owned HMO and served as its first Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Merenghi holds a master of business administration degree from Lindenwood University in Missouri and a bachelor of science degree in business and marketing from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana.
