The first European User Group for OsiriX, the advanced open-source PACS workstation DICOM viewer for the Mac OS, will take place at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2008 at the Austria Centre Vienna on Saturday 8th March at 3:30pm (Level U2/XII).

The keynote speaker for the User Group will be one of the founders of OsiriX, Dr Osman Ratib, who will discuss the future of open-source imaging and the cutting-edge capabilities of the newest version of the OsiriX software, the 64-bit version 3.0.  Osman Ratib is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology and Head of the Division of Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital of Geneva.

Additional guest speakers will cover real-life applications of OsiriX including FDA or CE approved OsiriX, and using OsiriX in a teleradiology environment.
