PACSGEAR's MediaWriter D200 at ECR 2009

Medical Conferences News - ECR 2009
MediaWriter D200 with encryption will be featured at PACSGEAR’s Booth #512 at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna from March 6-10, 2009

PACSGEAR, Inc.
, the leader in document and multimedia connectivity solutions for PACS/EHR, announced the addition of encryption technology to its successful DICOM CD/DVD burner, MediaWriter D200. Planned for introduction at the upcoming European Society of Radiology meeting in Vienna, Austria, MediaWriter D200 with encryption creates password-protected media that protects medical images while in transit. MediaWriter D200 uses the Epson® Discproducer™ to quickly write and print DICOM CDs/DVDs, and encrypts all images and patient information using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. The solution includes a web-based interface with local user authentication and an audit log.

“To address our customers’ data security concerns, we added strong encryption technology to MediaWriter D200,” said Brian J. Cavanaugh, President of PACSGEAR. “We based our approach on existing standards to ensure rapid adoption.”
