ECR10: Thales Unveils Pixium Surgical 2630 Detector
| Medical Conferences News - ECR 2010 |

Thales introduces a brand-new digital detector, the Pixium Surgical 2630, designed for mobile surgical C-arms at ECR 2010 , from March 4 - 8, 2010 in Austria Center, Vienna.
The Pixium Surgical 2630 offers several different operating modes, allowing it to cover virtually all diagnostic or interventional procedures, from cardiovascular and orthopedic surgery to neuroradiological interventions, and at up to 60 images/second in pediatrics. It can also be used in graphics mode with outstanding image quality.
By integrating the Pixium Surgical 2630, mobile surgical units become 100% digital - and are operational as soon as the detector is turned on. It generates top-quality images in real time, covering the entire surface of the detector, and these images can be transposed in 3D for advanced applications.
The Pixium Surgical 2630 is a flat panel detector sized to easily fit surgical systems. It enhances overall system ergonomics and manipulation during interventions. It does not need a cooling system. The Pixium Surgical 2630 comes with software that handles calibration and image formatting, to simplify system integration.
Based on Pixium technology (Pixium CsI), recognized for its exceptional X-ray absorption capacity, this detector requires very low doses of radiation but generates very high quality images, characterized by high dynamic range and DQE (detection quantum efficiency)
