Dr. Mark Quigg asks the following question regarding the choice and availability of integrated telephone systems:

Our small office will probably be upgrading our phone system in the near future. Does anyone have experience with phone systems that can integrate more closely with an existing EMR.? What are people's experience, costs etc?

The vendors promise systems that will dovetail with your EMR in terms of ability to perform automatic call-ins etc. but how realistic/affordable are these promises?
