OntarioMD - Update on Clinicare and Accuro EMR
| Healthcare Blogs - EMR & EHR Blogs |
In a November 30, 2010 announcement on the OntarioMD website, Clinicare EliteCare will be retired and removed from the funding eligible list and replaced with Optimed's Accuro EMR.
In December 2009, Optimed Software Corporation acquired Clinicare Corporation.
"Physicians who are currently funded and are using the now retired Specification 3 Clincare EliteCare EMR offering will maintain their funding status until the EMR Specification v4.0 certification cycle ends, which is late in 2011. At that time, those physicians will be asked to abide by the terms and conditions of the EMR Adoption Program and the designated timelines for upgrading to a currently certified EMR offering, which provides for a period of eight months after the end of the Specification v4.0 certification period. This means that existing funded Specification 3 EliteCare practices would not need to upgrade to another certified EMR offering until after March 31, 2012, the end of the current funding program."
