Vendors Collaborate To Implement Web-based EMR Solution
ASG announced that it has forged a partnership with leading healthcare IT consulting firm CTGHS to facilitate the implementation of its Web-based electronic medical record solution, ASG-MedAppz.
Two of the most common concerns physicians have about EMR systems are the risks and costs involved in transitioning to a new EMR system. ASG addresses these adoption hurdles through its new partnership with CTGHS, which will provide expert on-site implementation and training for ASG-MedAppz customers.
Because ASG-MedAppz is a SaaS-based solution, its deployment is already much faster, simpler, and less expensive than hardware-laden, heavily configured EMR solutions. Even with the ease of ASG-MedAppz's Internet-based EMR system, physicians may still hesitate to adopt EMRs because of apprehensions about lost productivity and income during the transition period. ASG addresses these concerns by facilitating its ASG-MedAppz implementation and training process through its partnership with CTGHS, a specialized division of CTG with 40 years of IT consulting experience and an ISO 9001:2000 certification.
Bill Thomson, VP of Solutions Management, ASG said, "High initial costs and lost productivity during the transition are significant EMR adoption inhibitors, yet all U.S. physicians must start using an EMR system by 2014. For as little as $250 per month, healthcare practitioners can start using ASG-MedAppz to electronically process patient data today; CTGHS adds considerable value to our affordable solution by ensuring a smooth implementation. It's a great partnership."
