Emmi Solutions creates Web-based interactive programs to inform and engage patients

The Vesalius Trust for Visual Communications in the Health Sciences has selected Emmi Solutions as the sole recipient of its highest professional award – the Frank H. Netter Award for Special Contributions to Medical Education. This award is given annually to the person or organization whose innovation most effectively demonstrates excellence in visual communication of health information.

Emmi Solutions creates Web-based interactive programs to inform and engage patients. Written in plain language, the programs use audio, text and images to help patients make sense of vital evidence-based medical information. More than 100 hospitals across the country use these programs to help patients prepare for procedures, make treatment decisions, manage chronic conditions, and comprehend clinical instructions.

In addition to winning the 2010 Netter Award, the company has received numerous honors including: FREDDIE Awards, Interactive Media Awards, Association of Medical Illustrator Awards, Institute for Healthcare Advancement Health Literacy Awards and Health and Science Communication Association Awards.
