Envisionier Introduces eGoWorks for Endoscopic Healthcare IT Challenges

Company News - Envisionier Medical Technologies, Inc.

eGoWorks is an online data storage and collaborative site for endoscopists. In the online environment, the user can upload, store, manage, manipulate, and share endoscopic exam findings

Envisionier Medical Technologies , Inc. is pleased to announce the release of eGoWorks, a first to market concept providing the endoscopist unparalleled data management capabilities for endoscopic images.

Envisionier 's Senior Software Developer Jeremy Brooks states: "The Software consists of two main modules: eGoWorks and eGoManager. eGoWorks is the core technology and is an online data storage and collaborative site for endoscopists. The eGoWorks software functionality currently includes; scalable, secure, and reliable storage of files, viewing images and video, along with basic video editing."

Some features of the online service include: filing endoscopic exams based on patient demographics, annotation of exams, search capabilities based on key words, report generation, editing of video, frame by frame analysis of video, and on-line sharing of endoscopic images and video using a secure, HIPPA compliant environment.

Using eGoWorks with its desktop companion, eGoWorks manager, allows for full integration of data acquired with the endogo® to be transferred and stored without the cumbersome steps currently needed to capture and store endoscopic images. This complete integration of imaging data is not available in the current market.

Envisionier's CEO, David Guy states: "Endoscopists have not been able to share data with peers and colleagues due to file sizes of multimedia content. By having a web-based storage solution (eGoWorks) we eliminate the need to send email crashing files and replace them with links to the information allowing surgeons to reach the data anywhere they have an internet connection."

Envisionier has partnered with AllMeds EMR to provide a seamless experience for EMR endoscopic users to capture digital endoscopic images that is integrated into the EMR .

Envisionier 's founder and CMO, Dr. Patrick Melder states, " eGoWorks is a remarkable product. For the first time as an endoscopist, I can capture images and video and efficiently store and manage the data in an on-line environment. This is a product that is long over due. Current procedures for capturing, annotating, storing, and sharing endoscopic findings have been extremely burdensome and disruptive to work flow or non-existent. Patients love being able to see all of their previous exams in one place during the exam visit: being able to compare current and past exams helps them understand their disease process and enhances compliance. Sharing exams with consulting physicians with the secure on-line sharing feature is a significant practice enhancer. This facilitates physician-physician communication and collaboration. While it may seem obvious, the secure Internet, anywhere access provides an integrated "systems solution" to my private practice that is typically found in larger integrated health care or academic systems. Having access to a patient's endoscopic examination in either of my practice locations or prior to an operative procedure in the OR is extremely valuable."
