ESSR 2009 will be held in Genoa, Italy, on June 12-13, 2009
16th Annual Congress of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology - ESSR 2009 will be held in Genoa, Italy, on June 12-13, 2009. The Congress will be a conjoint meeting with the Italian Congress of Musculoskeletal Radiology, scheduled on June 11, 2009. A Refresher Course on the Hip and Bone Pelvis, scientific sessions, parallel special focus sessions, keynote lectures, lunch time symposia sponsored by industrial partners, the technical exhibit and the scientific poster exhibition will take place in a magnificent Congress Venue - the “Magazzini del Cotone“, which is located in a pier of the old harbor, centrally in the city, a place which combines historical buildings with modern architecture and landscaping.
The main topics of ESSR 2009 - Hip imaging - and other important themes of ESSR and SIRM 2009, such as sport imaging, osteoporosis, rheumatology, tumors and interventional procedures will be covered by internationally acclaimed specialists in the respective fields. The ESSR Ultrasound Course will be held on June 11, 2009 at the same time of the Italian Congress. A special session on “Musculoskeletal Radiology: a global perspective” will provide the occasion to share and discuss themes of common interest with american and asian musculoskeletal radiologists.
The Congress is open to all those with a specialty or a keen interest in musculoskeletal radiology, both members and non-members of the ESSR and SIRM. ESSR 2009 will be a great occasion for delegates to share their knowledge and their visions with one another, to study together, to make new friends, and to renew old friendships across Europe, the Mediterranean, and many other countries.
